LAUTECH TEACHING HOSPITAL OGBOMOSO STAGE A PROTEST TODAY. By: Bisi Yusuff

Members of the Joint Health Sector Union Lautech Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso trooped out in thier numbers, chanting solidarity songs and carrying placards with various inscriptions despising the early morning downpour to express thier displeasure over non-payment of thier salaries since the begining of this year.

The union leaders, led by Comrade Abiodun Lawal, President NON Academic Staff Union Of Educational And Associated Institution, while addressing thier members said they were not out to figth the government nor the management of the institution but tender thier pligths to the appropriate authorities.

According to them, the futures of their members were not secured because no pension scheme had been put in place for workers of the institution by the state government. They however, pleaded with concerned authorities to attend to thier yearnings in due time.

Reacting, Director of Administration, Lautech Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, Mr. adewale Ajiferuke, said the management were making efforts to arrest the situation. Some of the members who narrated their experiences and challenges during this period described it as “Hardtime”.
