Yohan Cabaye would walk straight into Arsenal’s midfield, claims Alan Pardew

Alan Pardew believes Yohan Cabaye would walk
into Arsenal’s starting line-up after seeing the
midfielder set an early benchmark at Crystal
Palace.
Cabaye signed for £12.8million from Paris Saint-
Germain during the summer and showed his class
in the Eagles’ 3-1 win at Norwich City in their
Barclays Premier League season opener.
Palace welcome Arsenal to Selhurst Park on
Sunday, and Pardew feels Cabaye would be a
definite starter under Arsene Wenger.
‘He’s a fantastic player. He’s definitely at the level
of Arsenal’s players,’ Pardew insisted. ‘I don’t think
anyone at Arsenal would disagree with that.
‘He would get in their team. In the season to come
[you can see] how strong the lower Premier
League teams are.
‘Look at West Ham, look at us, we’re stronger,
Stoke, their signing this week is fantastic. That
second tier is getting stronger.’
Cabaye struggled to become a regular starter at
Ligue 1 giants PSG, but is expected to play a vital
role at Palace this season.
